Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) is the eighth main installment in the series, the long-awaited follow-up to GTA V, released in 2013. It is also the sixteenth overall entry in the global game franchise that celebrates the very crime it's named after!

About the game

As always, it’s an open-world game set in a fictional version of Miami, Florida, called Vice City, in the state of Leonida. The player takes on the role of Lucia — the first female protagonist in the series. As you play, Lucia quickly proves her talent for pulling off heists.
Her partner in crime (literally) is a male character, and together they set out to conquer Vice City — or at least enough of it to keep them in fast cars, good food, and out of the local jail.

As usual, you’ll play through a story mode, exploring extensively as you go, taking part in missions and side quests, fighting, shooting, and doing whatever it takes to get out of trouble, earn money, and pull off robberies. But it’s not all about combat — you can also just cruise the wide Miami — uh, Vice City — highways that run alongside the ocean, listening to music and enjoying a moment of peace.

The Nitty Gritty

The game controls are easy to understand, and the physics engine benefits from ten years of advancements, giving you a smoother ride — even as it challenges you with the puzzle-like elements of car theft.
Watch your health — you won’t want to run out of energy before the cops show up to mess with your plans, whether that means grabbing some food, stealing that shiny ride just begging for your hands on the wheel, or other criminal adventures you hope will go smoothly.

What’s Hot in the City?

• Neon: Miami is a city of modernity and glitz, and Vice City is no different. Keep an eye out for the fabulous neon sign sets scattered around the city (some will help you in your missions and objectives, so stay alert), and enjoy the show as you use them to navigate, impress your crew, or simply take some selfies!
• Cityscapes: The city is laid out realistically — with long straight roads perfect for flooring the gas pedal and gaining distance from the cops. Make the most of the urban sprawl by exploring the detailed open world at your leisure.
• Characters: Florida is known for its eccentric residents doing bizarre and strangely wonderful things — and its fictional counterpart, Leonida, is no different. Look out for car-obsessed weirdos, face-tattooed misfits, misbehaving old ladies, and more — you might even spot some characters based on real-life celebrities. See how many you can identify!
